In that scenario both icons were showing but only my login one was suppose to. This was long time ago and they never owned up to making this mistake but one was my login and the other was system. I had a funny thing one time with norton av. That one appears to be running as administrator. I'm noticing other apps that have systray icons and one is called windowsmartray.exe. One thing of notice, The process for anydvd64 helper and anydvd tray are both running as system and I rdp as administrator but that shouldn't make the difference just putting that out there in case.

My question is: is this normal for anydvd when running on windows home server 2011 (aka server 2008)? Lol i guess it's nice it can do the job w/o me logging on. All things look and appear to be in good order on the server but you know how things can be deceiving. Not aware of any windows updates since the last time I was able to see the icon per server logs. Is it something to do with my rdp session? I'm asking because I used to be able to see the icon and only recently has this become an issue. I still would like the icon there so I can see and set some special settings on occasion that I need to. Discs copy fine w/o the icon using my movies app for home server. I can rip discs on the server just fine but I cannot see the tray icon for anydvd nor can I configure it unless I end task and then restart the program. Hate to necro this old thread but it is exactly my issue but not quite as bad.
